Children are like sponges, especially in their early years. They absorb everything from a parent’s language to their emotional stance. As parents, there is a lot we share without children subconsciously. I remember early on with my son, recognising that he pulled the same worried facial expression of my own Dad. It wasn’t until later and deeper down my kinesiology journey that I realised the true weight of that. I didn’t want my kids worried about breaking an arm. I held onto that stress just as much as I didn’t want to overly push friendship groups because I missed out as a child. Here, it hit home about the cycles we hold on to and keep in motion from our parents to our children. To break the cycle of fear, doubt, or worry, I might need new tools than my parents used.
Kinesiology builds confident, calm and capable kids through a non-invasive and fun approach to brain integration. Combined with specific Brain gym activities, Kinesiology aids neuroplasticity immensely, developing new pathways within the brain and building up a new level of confidence and behaviours with them. Most commonly, parents will seek out kinesiology due to the following complaints or developmental issues:
- Learning and Behaviour Issues
- Focus and Attention Issues
- Bullying and Socialising Issues
- Fear and Emotional Issues
- Difficulties Sleeping and Self-calming
- Fussy Eaters
- Confidence and Success
In no way does kinesiology treat or diagnose these issues, but it works with your child’s energies removing blocks and restoring balance. The body has an innate ability to heal itself. Kinesiology uses biofeedback through muscle monitoring to determine what best suits the child’s needs. Each body has its unique answer, and Kinesiology is the tool that allows you to access it. Kinesiology restores calm and balance and empowers your child to make positive life choices.
Once the core issue is found, balanced and validated, a tremendous change is often experienced within the child. The flow-on effect with children is usually easy to see and is more than just a change in their body language. An example of this could be a child who seeks Kinesiology out to assist in sleep patterns, while the parent most notices a change of social grouping and greater confidence within the sporting field.
It should also be noted that on many occasions, once the session with the child is complete where the results are authentically seen and felt, Mum is quick to jump onto the table for a bit of balance herself… Which is highly encouraged by ‘Happy Mum, Happy Home’.
